Knud Basse bear ceramic figurine 9 cm

This bear figurine by Knud Basse is a small ceramic figurine with great personality. The bear sits huddled with its head slightly bowed down toward its front paws, and this gives the figure a calm, almost contemplative expression. The shape is simple and rounded, but it is precisely in the soft lines and the concentrated posture that the figure's strength lies. It is a bear that appears quiet and present at the same time.

The glaze appears in warm brown shades with fine variations in the surface, which emphasize the figure's organic form. The light areas at the paws create a subtle contrast, and the smooth ceramic gives the figure a cohesive expression. Knud Basse is known for his animal figurines, and here the bear's body is reduced to confident, simple shapes, where the motif is still easily recognizable. The result is a decorative bear figurine that fits beautifully into both classic and modern interiors.

At 9 cm, the figure is easy to place on a shelf, in a bookcase, on a desk, or as part of a small still life with other ceramic figurines and natural materials. It also works well as a gift for a collector or for someone who appreciates Danish design, animal figurines, and decorative arts with character. If you are looking for a Knud Basse bear, a smaller ceramic figurine, or a decorative animal figurine with a calm design language, this is a fine choice.
