Royal Copenhagen polar bear cubs 1107 or 1020085 - Knud Kyhn

Royal Copenhagen figure 1107 with two playful polar bear cubs is one of those animal figures that immediately brings life to the shelf. Knud Kyhn has modeled the motif with a fine sense of movement and temperament: one cub stands upright with a raised paw, while the other lies on its back in play. Together they form a figure group with both calm, humor, and character, making it ideal for collectors of Danish porcelain and for everyone who loves classic animal figures.

The white porcelain figure is executed in underglaze and has the soft, lively expression that many associate with Royal Copenhagen's animal world. In the pictures, the small details are clearly visible in the heads, paws, and open mouths, and it is precisely this playful motif that gives the figure a narrative that stands out from more static bear figures. The form appears natural and rounded, and the construction of the figure makes it interesting to look at from several angles.

As an older Royal Copenhagen figure, it also has a quality that extends beyond the decorative. It is porcelain created to last, and a figure like this brings both history and personality into the decor. It fits beautifully in a collection with other animal figures by Knud Kyhn, but can also stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or on a desk, where it adds a warm and personal touch to the home. For those who appreciate decorative art and collectibles with soul, this is a fine example of Danish porcelain design that still feels alive today.
