Royal Copenhagen duck group figurine no. 2128 Olaf Mathiesen

Royal Copenhagen duck group figurine no. 2128 is a classic porcelain figurine with a calm and lifelike expression. The figurine shows two ducks close together on a greenish base, modelled with soft lines and a fine balance between simplicity and life. The white bird bodies, the warm brownish beaks and feet, as well as the small flower detail by the base give the figurine a harmonious and atmospheric overall impression that fits beautifully into both classic and Nordic interiors.

Olaf Mathiesen is known for his animal figurines with a sure sense of movement and character, and this is clearly seen here. One duck stands upright with its neck raised, while the other moves lower and more forward-facing. Together they create a lively composition, where one can almost sense the birds' calm steps along the shore. This makes the figurine ideal for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, bird figurines and Danish porcelain, but also for those who simply want a decorative porcelain figurine with a nature motif.

As a vintage porcelain figurine, this duck group also has the special charm that comes with older quality design. It is exactly the type of decorative art and collector's item that deserves to be preserved and enjoyed further in new homes. A figurine like this adds personality, history and a more sustainable choice to the interior, because it gives beautiful craftsmanship new life instead of being replaced by new production.

The duck group can be placed on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a chest of drawers, where its glossy glaze and calm colours are allowed to stand out. It is also an obvious gift idea for collectors, nature lovers or for those who are fond of Royal Copenhagen porcelain and classic animal figurines with Danish design tradition.
