Royal Copenhagen roe deer fawn figurine 2649, Knud Kyhn

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 2649 depicts a lying roe deer fawn in a calm and natural pose, designed by Knud Kyhn. The figurine has a soft, lifelike expression, where the small animal rests with its head bent down toward the body. The white spots across the back and the muted brownish shades give the motif a fine sense of a young roe deer in the forest's quiet moments, and it is precisely this true-to-nature interpretation that many collectors and design enthusiasts appreciate about Kyhn's animal figurines.

The organic form and the rounded lines make the figurine pleasant to look at from all angles. The ears stand slightly up, the body is gathered in a relaxed resting position, and the face has a peaceful expression with closed eyes. This gives the porcelain figurine a present and poetic character, which fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes. As an animal figurine, roe deer figurine, or porcelain figurine, it is ideal for the display cabinet, the bookshelf, or a quiet place where its form and glaze truly come into their own.

Knud Kyhn is known for his animal motifs, and in this Royal Copenhagen figurine one senses the sure feel for movement, anatomy, and mood. The figurine appeals both to collectors of Danish porcelain and to those seeking home decor with history, quality, and personality. Older porcelain figurines like this one possess a special charm because they are created to last and can continue to bring joy for many years to come. This also makes them an obvious choice for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship and giving beautiful quality objects new life.

The figurine is also a lovely gift idea for collectors of Royal Copenhagen, for nature lovers, or for anyone who appreciates classic Danish figurines with a calm and timeless expression.
