Royal Copenhagen bear stoneware figurine no. 188 - sitting bear

Royal Copenhagen bear stoneware figurine no. 188 is a characterful animal figurine with a calm and present expression. The sitting bear is modeled in a natural moment, where it licks its paw, and precisely that small movement gives the figurine life, warmth, and personality. The motif makes it ideal for you who are fond of classic animal figurines, Danish ceramics, and Royal Copenhagen design with a more rustic and tactile expression.

The figurine is made of stoneware and has a lively glaze in subdued green and brownish shades. The surface appears with fine, marked details that emphasize the bear's fur, paws, and face. Seen from several angles, the figurine takes on an almost narrative character, because the posture appears both concentrated and relaxed. This makes it a decorative choice on the shelf, in the display cabinet, or as part of a collection of Nordic animal figurines and stoneware objects.

The design is attributed to Trine Drejer, and the figurine bears the simple, confident design language that suits the animal motif well. This is not a strict and polished figurine, but a piece of applied art with weight, warmth, and a clear sense of material. It is precisely the type of figurine that adds soul to the home and makes the interior more personal.

A Royal Copenhagen stoneware figurine like this is also a fine gift idea for collectors, for the design enthusiast, or for the one who appreciates animals in craftsmanship. At the same time, older figurines with history are a beautiful choice for you who would like to decorate with quality items that are created to last and deserve a long life onward in new surroundings.
