It is important to say thank you
"Thank you" is sometimes a poor word, but in combination with the right gift, it will certainly be appreciated. - And regardless, it's the thought that counts!
Whether we need a specific day to say thank you and appreciate our mothers can be debated (it should be done all year round!), but it certainly doesn't hurt to have a whole day dedicated to this.
There are many artists who have created various decorations for Mother's Day. For example, a wide range of Mother's Day plates have been created by companies such as Bing & Groendahl, Desiree, Bavaria, Hummel, and many more, as well as some beautiful Mother's Day figurines and figurines of parents with their children.
When is Mother's Day?
Mother's Day always falls on the second Sunday of May in Denmark. But that's not the case in all countries.
The second Sunday in May is also Mother's Day in the United States, but in Sweden and Norway it is different. In fact, Swedes have Mother's Day on the last Sunday in May, while Norwegians already honor their mothers on the second Sunday in February.
Where does Mother's Day originate from?
Mother's Day is a tradition started back in 1907 by an American woman named Anna Jarvis, who wanted to honor all mothers and their great work. This was to be done with a special flower, namely the white carnation.
Today, Mother's Day is probably a little less formal in tone and a little more informal. This can also be seen in the choice of flowers, where many today prefer to send a more colorful, loving and life-affirming bouquet to their mother. One thing is certain; flowers are still strongly associated with Mother's Day.
The producers behind Hackefors, among others, understood this back in 1980 when they began making Mother's Day plates with beautiful floral motifs, which are both beautiful as a gift idea or as decoration in modern interior design.
Another way to give flowers can be through Royal Copenhagen's collection 'The Art of Giving Flowers'. The collection consists of beautiful reliefs and vases with motifs and shapes like flowers.
You can also find a large selection of flower vases in porcelain, ceramic, and glass, which your mother can use again and again.
