Royal Copenhagen Boy with pig figurine no. 436

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 436 depicts a boy sitting on the ground with a small pig in his arms. The motif has a warm and calm appearance, where the closeness between child and animal is central. The blue overalls, the light top and the pig's soft shapes give the figurine a friendly and recognizable expression, which brings to mind farm, country life and everyday moments close to nature.

The figurine belongs to the 2006 Children with farm animals series and is designed by Allan Therkelsen. Here it is precisely the story of children and animals on the farm that is conveyed with an earthy and lively formal language. The boy holds the pig close to him, and the motif finely captures the trust and care that are often associated with life in the countryside. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for those who are fond of agricultural figurines and farmer figurines, this is a model with a motif that is easy to connect with.

As a porcelain figurine, it fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes, where it can stand alone on a shelf, on a chest of drawers or as part of a collection of figurines from the same series. It also works well together with other figurines with farm animals, if you wish to create a small setting with story and coherence. Precisely older and newer quality figurines in porcelain can bring personality into the decor and are at the same time a beautiful choice for those who appreciate good craftsmanship and things that can be enjoyed for many years.

It is also an obvious gift idea for collectors, for those who love Royal Copenhagen, or for anyone with a fondness for country life, farm motifs and porcelain figurines with humanity and presence.
