Royal Copenhagen Boy with two pigs figurine no. 449

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 449 depicts a boy from the farm environment with a small pig under each arm. The motif exudes rural life and everyday joy, and the figurine captures a warm moment from life on the farm, where children and animals naturally belong together. The blue overalls, the dark boots, and the light milk pail beside the boy emphasize the story of work, closeness, and secure days among the farm's animals.

The expression is calm and lively at the same time. The boy stands upright with a gentle gaze, while the two small pigs give the figurine movement and personality. This makes this porcelain figurine ideal for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, but also for those who are fond of agricultural figurines, peasant figurines, and motifs with children and farm animals. The figurine fits beautifully into a collection with other figurines from farming life and craftsmanship, but can also stand alone as an atmospheric feature in the interior.

The design was created by Allan Therkelsen, and the figurine belongs to the figurine series 2006 Children with farm animals. Here, the focus is on the close relationships between child and animal and on the special atmosphere associated with farm life and Danish figurine tradition. Royal Copenhagen is known for porcelain figurines with character and story, and this model is a fine example of exactly that.

A figurine like this also has appeal as a gift idea for someone who loves pigs, farm motifs, or classic Danish porcelain. At the same time, older porcelain figurines are a sustainable choice because they are made to last and can bring joy for generations. Choosing a figurine with history and soul gives the home a more personal touch and lets good craftsmanship live on.
