Bing & Grøndahl Skye Terrier 2130 dog figurine 25,5 cm

This Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2130 depicts a standing Skye Terrier and has a calm, lifelike expression that makes it a strong decorative feature in the home. The figurine is made of porcelain and reproduces the breed's characteristic silhouette with a long body, short legs, and the dense, falling coat that gives the motif both weight and movement. The muted grey shades and the soft underglaze emphasize the classic expression.

Lauritz Jensen has created a figurine in which the dog's posture and attentive gaze are finely captured. The head is raised, the ears defined, and the body modeled with distinct folds and coat structures that give the figurine life from every angle. This makes it ideal for both collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and for those who appreciate dog figurines in porcelain with a more realistic and less ornate style.

A porcelain figurine like this fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a personal arrangement with other animal figurines, Danish design, and classic applied art. It is also an obvious gift idea for the dog lover or the collector seeking a model with clear breed character and a familiar figurine number. Older porcelain figurines like this hold a special appreciation for fine craftsmanship, and they bring history, personality, and lasting quality into the interior.
