Søholm Viggo Kyhn rooster figurine in blue and brown ceramic

This rooster figurine from Søholm has a distinctive and sculptural expression, where form and glaze work closely together. The organic silhouette with the upright body, the characterful head and the large, curved tail gives the figurine a lively expression that immediately attracts the eye. The blue and brown shades blend beautifully into each other and highlight the depth of the ceramic and the play in the surface.

Viggo Kyhn's rooster is a decorative ceramic figurine with clear personality. The form is more interpreted than naturalistic, which gives the figurine an artistic touch and makes it interesting to look at from several angles. The open, curved tail creates movement in the design, while the glaze adds warmth, variation and an almost rustic counterpoint to the soft form. For collectors of Danish ceramics and Søholm figurines, it is precisely this combination of character, craftsmanship and design that makes the figurine sought-after.

A ceramic rooster like this fits beautifully into both modern and more classic homes. It can stand alone as a decorative eye-catcher on the shelf, on a sideboard or in the windowsill, but also works well together with other ceramic figurines, stoneware and Danish design from the same period. As an older design object, it contains both history and durability, and it is a fine choice for those who would like to decorate with things that have soul and give new life to good craftsmanship.

At the same time, it is a figurine that is well suited as a gift for the collector, the ceramics lover or the person who is fond of Danish decorative art with character. Søholm ceramics has a special place in many homes, and this rooster figurine is a good example of how Danish ceramics can be both decorative, personal and timeless.
