Royal Copenhagen Pointer sitting no. 1635 UNICA H 23 cm

Royal Copenhagen Pointer sitting no. 1635 is a characterful dog figurine that combines lifelike observation with classic Danish porcelain design. The figurine is modelled by Lauritz Jensen, who is known for his vivid depictions of animals, and here he has captured the pointer's upright posture, alert gaze and calm strength in a form that appears both harmonious and present.

The sitting dog is made of porcelain with underglaze and appears in white with brown areas. The warm markings around the head, ears and body emphasise the figurine's elegant silhouette, while the glossy glaze gives the surface depth and calm. Seen from several angles, the figurine is experienced as particularly well-balanced, with fine transitions in the body and a naturalistic modelling of the chest, legs and head.

As a Royal Copenhagen dog figurine, this pointer has a strong appeal to both collectors of porcelain figurines and dog lovers with an eye for classic decorative art. The UNICA designation makes it extra interesting for those seeking something more special than the ordinary series production. At the same time, it is a figurine that fits beautifully into the home interior, where it can stand alone on a shelf, on a desk or as part of a curated collection of animal figurines and Danish design.

Older porcelain figurines like this one carry a special story with them. They are created to last, and precisely for that reason they are also a meaningful choice in a home where quality, craftsmanship and the joy of giving classic objects new life are appreciated. A Royal Copenhagen pointer like this adds personality, warmth and a collector's touch to the interior and is also an obvious gift idea for the collector or dog person.
