Royal Copenhagen duck pair figurine 20004 in stoneware by Knud Kyhn

Royal Copenhagen duck pair figurine no. 20004 is a characterful stoneware figurine by Knud Kyhn, where the study of nature and the strong design language merge into a higher unity. The figurine shows two ducks gathered on one base, one awake and upright, the other resting close beside it. The motif has a calm, present atmosphere, which makes the figurine both decorative and lively in expression.

Knud Kyhn is known for his animal figurines, and here his sure eye for the animals' posture and character is evident. The surface has the deep, flowing glaze effect in shades of brown, dark olive, cream and greyish tones, which suits the motif and gives the figurine play from all angles. The soft forms and the close composition make the duck pair a stoneware figurine that makes you want to take a closer look, because the expression changes with the light and the placement.

As a vintage Royal Copenhagen figurine, this model also has a special appeal for collectors of Danish stoneware, Knud Kyhn and classic animal figurines. At the same time, it is a sculptural object that works beautifully on a shelf, on a chest of drawers or as part of a still life with ceramics, wood and other natural materials. Older design with history and quality adds personality to the home and is a beautiful choice for those who appreciate lasting things rather than new production.

The figurine is ideal as a gift for the collector, for the nature lover or for anyone who is fond of Danish design and Royal Copenhagen stoneware. It can stand alone as a striking eye-catcher or be included together with other animal figurines from the same period for a more cohesive expression.
