Royal Copenhagen kangaroo figurine no. 469 by Howitz

Royal Copenhagen kangaroo figurine no. 469 is a characterful porcelain figurine with a calm, lively expression. The figurine depicts an upright kangaroo with a long tail, raised forepaws and a slightly turned head, which gives the motif both movement and presence. The glossy glaze in soft grey shades highlights the body's shapes and modelling in a way that makes the figurine interesting to ????? from several angles.

The kangaroo is made after a model by Howitz, and this is evident in the naturalistic approach to the animal's anatomy and posture. Royal Copenhagen is known for porcelain figurines with fine transitions in the glaze and a confident balance between nature study and decorative form, and this is clearly expressed here. The subdued colour scheme makes the figurine easy to place in the interior, where it can stand alone as a collector's item or be included together with other animal figurines in porcelain.

As an older Royal Copenhagen figurine, it also has a special appeal for collectors and for those who appreciate design with history. This particular type of porcelain figurine brings personality into the home and is a beautiful example of how classic craftsmanship can still feel relevant in a modern home. It fits nicely in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as a gift for a collector of Danish porcelain figurines and animal figurines.

If you are looking for a Royal Copenhagen animal figurine, a kangaroo in porcelain or a figurine with model number 469, this is an obvious choice. The combination of motif, modelling and the well-known Danish porcelain craftsmanship makes the figurine interesting both decoratively and as a collector's item.
