Bing & Grøndahl Greyhound figurine no. 2079 porcelain figurine

Bing & Grøndahl Greyhound figurine no. 2079 is a porcelain figurine with a calm and streamlined expression, where the dog's characteristic breed traits are rendered with a confident hand. The reclining greyhound is modeled with long, slender legs, a narrow snout and an upright, attentive posture, which gives the figurine both lightness and presence. The light glaze emphasizes the soft lines of the body and highlights the elegant silhouette that characterizes the greyhound.

The figurine has a simple and harmonious color expression in white porcelain with fine details at the eyes, nose and collar. It is precisely the subdued decoration that makes it easy to place in the home, where it fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of Bing & Grøndahl animal figurines. The long body, the slightly raised tail and the alert turn of the head give the figurine life, without the expression becoming restless.

As an older porcelain figurine, it also contains the special charm that only classic Danish design and craftsmanship can add to a home. Here you get a figurine with history and personality, created to last and to be appreciated for many years to come. For collectors of dog figurines, Danish porcelain and Bing & Grøndahl, figurine no. 2079 is an obvious choice, but it will also delight anyone who is fond of greyhounds and decorative objects with a calm, well-executed design language.

It is also a fine gift idea for the dog lover or for the collector who appreciates porcelain figurines with natural character. The figurine works both on its own and together with other animal figurines, where its simple colors and distinctive shape make it easy to combine in the interior.
