Royal Copenhagen Peter Fisher Boy Mini Children no. 010

Peter Fisher Boy from Royal Copenhagen is a charming porcelain figurine that captures life by the water at child height. The figurine shows a little fisher boy with fish in his arms, wearing a blue raincoat and hat, yellow boots, and with a bucket by his side. The motif has a calm and down-to-earth expression, bringing to mind coastal life, play, and the small moments that make everyday life memorable.

As part of Royal Copenhagen's Mini Children series, the figurine has both collector's value and a personal, narrative expression. The series is known for its child figures, each with its own activity and mood, and Peter Fisher Boy is a fine example of how Sven Vestergaard manages to create life and presence in a small format. Here, childhood, fishing, and Danish figurine tradition meet in a porcelain figurine that can both stand alone and fit naturally together with the other figurines in the Mini Children collection.

The soft modelling and the underglaze-decorated surface give the figurine depth and a classic expression, which many collectors of Royal Copenhagen appreciate. At the same time, it is a figurine that fits beautifully into the home on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a collection of porcelain figurines, mini children, or other child motifs. For collectors, it may be a sought-after figurine to supplement or complete the series, while for others it may be an obvious gift idea for someone who is fond of Danish design, porcelain, and figurines with a story.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add soul and personality to the home. They are created to be preserved and appreciated for many years, and precisely for that reason they are also a beautiful choice for those who appreciate good craftsmanship and the joy of giving classic design new life.
