Royal Copenhagen Mini Summer and Winter Children boy on rocking horse no. 265

This Royal Copenhagen figurine captures a classic childhood motif with a little boy on a rocking horse, rendered in a calm and lively visual language. The figurine has a warm, nostalgic expression, where the movement of the rocking horse and the child's upright posture give the motif both charm and presence. The blue trousers, the red neckerchief, the light hat, and the brown-and-white rocking horse create a fine color balance, which makes the figurine decorative both on its own and together with other porcelain figurines.

The motif belongs to the Mini Summer and Winter Children series, a beloved figurine series from Royal Copenhagen, where the small moments of childhood are at the center. Here, it is play and imagination that are allowed to take up space. The boy on the rocking horse is a figurine that speaks to collectors of classic Danish porcelain, but it also works beautifully as a standalone decoration in the home, where it adds a touch of history and personality to the shelf, display cabinet, or children's room.

The figurine is designed by Sven Vestergaard and made in porcelain with underglaze, which emphasizes the craftsmanship quality for which Royal Copenhagen is known. This very type of porcelain figurine appeals both to those who collect Mini Summer and Winter Children, and to those seeking a gift with warmth, memories, and classic Danish design. As part of a series of 12 children, it is also ideal if you wish to supplement or expand an existing collection.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to bring soul into the interior. They are created to last, and it makes good sense to let beautiful craftsmanship live on from generation to generation. A figurine like this combines the joy of collecting, Danish design history, and the sustainability of choosing quality objects with lasting value.
