Bing & Grøndahl Pekingese puppies figurine no. 1630

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 1630 shows two Pekingese puppies in a lively and charming moment. The motif has lots of movement and personality, with one puppy standing with its tail raised, while the other sits close behind and looks curiously ahead. It is a dog figurine with a warm, narrative expression, which makes it ideal for both collectors of Bing & Grøndahl and for dog lovers with a fondness for classic Danish porcelain.

The figurine is designed by Jens Peter Dahl Jensen, who is known for his naturalistic animal figurines and his ability to give porcelain life and character. Here this is clearly evident in the soft shapes, the small paw placements and the fine balance between play, calm and attentiveness. The underglaze-decorated surface supports the figurine's calm, classic expression and makes it a beautiful example of Danish porcelain art.

A porcelain figurine like this fits well in a collection of animal figurines, but it also works nicely on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a personal gift for a dog friend. Older porcelain figurines often have a present quality that adds history and soul to the home, and that is precisely why they are still sought after in modern interior design. Choosing vintage porcelain is at the same time a way to give fine craftsmanship new life and let quality from previous generations find a place in the home again.

If you are fond of Bing & Grøndahl dog figurines, Dahl Jensen figurines or Pekingese as a motif, no. 1630 is a model with an expression that stands out. The combination of breed character, movement and classic porcelain makes the figurine interesting both as decoration and as a collector's item.
