Steen Lykke Madsen figurine no. 7045 Bing & Grøndahl stoneware

Steen Lykke Madsen figurine no. 7045 from Bing & Grøndahl is a characterful stoneware figurine with a striking, artistic expression. The figurine is made as a seated human figure with large, simple shapes, clearly modeled hands and feet, as well as a stylized face that gives it an almost imaginative and narrative character. The light glaze is combined with dark contour lines and warm brownish details, which emphasize the figure's form and handmade expression.

It is precisely the meeting between the naive, the modern and the sculptural that makes this Bing & Grøndahl stoneware figurine particularly interesting. Steen Lykke Madsen's formal language has a free and personal character, and the figure's calm seated posture gives it presence and personality. It functions both as a ceramic figurine, a design object and a smaller sculpture that adds an artistic edge to the home.

A figurine like this fits beautifully on a shelf, in a windowsill or as part of an arrangement with ceramics, stoneware and Nordic design. It can stand alone as an eye-catcher or be combined with other figurines and decorative art in natural shades. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and Danish ceramics, model no. 7045 is an exciting find, but it will also appeal to those of you who are looking for a decorative figurine with soul, history and original formal language.

Older design objects in stoneware have a special ability to create warmth and personality in the interior. When you choose a figurine with history, you simultaneously choose a piece of Danish design that is created to be preserved and appreciated for many years to come.
