Bing & Grøndahl Steen Lykke Madsen stoneware figurine no. 7051 Fantasi

Bing & Grøndahl stoneware figurine no. 7051 "Fantasi" is a striking and full of character figurine by Steen Lykke Madsen. The figurine has an abstract and freely shaped expression, where the human body is interpreted in soft, simplified lines and with an almost sculptural movement. It is precisely the meeting between fantasy, form and figure that makes this stoneware figurine an exciting choice for collectors and for those who appreciate Danish craftsmanship with personality.

The glazed surface gives the figurine life and depth, while the dark contour strokes emphasize the body's shapes and movement. The motif appears as a stylized female figure in a dynamic pose, where the abstract visual language is allowed to play the leading role. The color scheme is light and calm with fine contrasts in the decoration, which makes the figurine easy to place in the home, where it can stand alone as an eye-catcher or be included together with other ceramic figurines and sculptures.

Steen Lykke Madsen's design has an immediate artistic nerve, which makes this Bing & Grøndahl figurine interesting both as decorative art and as a collector's item. Stoneware is particularly well suited to this type of sculptural form, because the material provides weight, presence and a tangible sense of quality. The figurine fits well on a shelf, on a sideboard, in a display cabinet or as part of a curated collection of Danish stoneware, ceramics and figurative art.

Older design objects like this have a special value because they carry history, originality and fine craftsmanship forward into today's home. Choosing vintage stoneware figurines is also a beautiful way to give durable design new life. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl and for those seeking an abstract figurine with artistic expression, no. 7051 "Fantasi" is an obvious choice.
