Johgus Bornholm ceramic bird sparrow with tail up no. 2

Johgus Bornholm ceramic bird no. 2 is a small bird figurine with lots of personality. The simple, characterful shape and the upturned tail give the figure a lively and almost storytelling expression, which makes it ideal for collectors of Bornholm ceramics and for those who love small figurines with soul. The motif is close to the well-known sparrow, but with a stylised design language that gives the figure its own distinctive character.

The dark glaze and the light, visible markings in the plumage emphasize the figure's handmade expression. The beak, breast and tail are shaped simply and clearly, giving the bird a calm, decorative silhouette from all angles. It is exactly the kind of ceramic figurine that works well as a small eye-catcher on a shelf, on a windowsill or as part of a collection with animals, birds and Bornholm design.

For many, Johgus is associated with Bornholm ceramics with warmth, charm and recognizable motifs. A figure like this brings both history and personality into the interior and is at the same time a fine choice for those who would like to give older decorative art new life. Vintage ceramic figurines like this add something more personal to the home than mass-produced decoration and can easily be combined with both modern Nordic interior design and more classic collections.

This ceramic sparrow with tail up no. 2 is also an obvious gift idea for collectors of Johgus, for the bird lover or for the one who appreciates Danish ceramics from Bornholm. The small figurine looks beautiful on its own, but can also stand together with other animal figurines and ceramic small objects, where its character and shape are allowed to stand out clearly.
