Johgus Bornholm calf no. 117 ceramic figurine 20 cm

Johgus Bornholm calf no. 117 is a charming ceramic figurine with a calm and natural expression. It depicts a reclining calf with its legs tucked under the body and its head slightly raised, which gives the figure a quiet, present atmosphere. The form is simple and soft, and it is precisely this balanced model that makes it a fine example of Bornholm ceramics, where motif and form are allowed to speak clearly.

The glazed surface has a dark, nuanced interplay with light, speckled areas, which gives the figure life and depth. The calf's calm posture and rounded lines make it decorative from several angles, whether it is placed in a bookcase, on a sideboard, or as part of a collection with other animal figurines in ceramics. If you are looking for a Johgus figurine with a classic animal motif, this calf is an obvious choice.

Johgus Bornholm is known for ceramics with local roots and a design language that fits beautifully into both older and modern homes. Animal figurines in particular have a special ability to add warmth and personality to the interior, and a figurine like this works both on its own and together with other stoneware, ceramics, and Nordic design. It is also a fine gift idea for collectors or for anyone who appreciates Danish ceramics with history.

Older ceramics like this calf also have the quality that they are created to be preserved and used for many years. When you choose a figurine with age and soul, you get not just decoration for the home, but also a piece of Danish design tradition that can continue to create joy and atmosphere in today's interior.
