Johgus Bornholm rabbit figurine no. 543-2 ceramic 10 cm

Johgus Bornholm rabbit no. 543-2 is a charming ceramic figurine with a calm and stylized expression that makes it easy to appreciate for collectors of Bornholm ceramics and for those who are fond of animal figurines with character. The rabbit is shaped in a low, compact posture with long ears laid back, a round body and small distinctive paws, which give the figurine both weight and movement at the same time.

The dark, nuanced glaze with light variations in the surface emphasizes the figurine's organic form and gives it a lively, almost stone-like expression. It is precisely the simple modeling and the subdued color scheme that make the figurine fit beautifully into many homes - on a shelf, in a bookcase, in a display cabinet collection or as part of an arrangement with other Danish ceramics and decorative arts. The motif is classic and timeless, and the calm appearance makes the rabbit ideal as a gift for an animal lover or as a lovely element in a personal interior.

Johgus was a Bornholm ceramic factory, and figurines like this carry the special charm that many associate with ceramics from Bornholm. Older ceramic figurines like this have a history of their own and add something more personal to the home than new mass production. That is precisely part of the joy of vintage ceramics: choosing something that has already proven its durability and that can still create atmosphere and attract attention today.

This rabbit figurine is also easy to combine with other animal figurines, nature motifs and ceramic objects in earthy tones. It works both on its own and together with other collector's items, where the model number 543-2 makes it interesting for those seeking specific Johgus figurines.
