Bing & Grøndahl mother with children figurine no. 2196 porcelain figurine

This Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2196 depicts a warm and intimate moment between a mother and two children. The motif is full of life and movement: the mother sits calmly, while the children seek close to her from either side. One stands up against her, while the other leans in toward her lap, and the whole composition conveys care, security and family life in a quiet and natural way.

As a porcelain figurine, it has a classic expression that fits beautifully into a collection of Danish figurines from Bing & Grøndahl. The soft lines and the fine underglaze emphasize the figurine's calm character and give the motif a lightness that particularly suits this type of mother and child figurine. It is a figurine that speaks to those who are fond of older porcelain with human motifs and stories from everyday life.

Bing & Grøndahl is known for figurines with feeling, atmosphere and fine craftsmanship, and figurine no. 2196 is a fine example of exactly that. The mother and children motif makes the figurine ideal for collectors of porcelain figurines, but also as a personal gift idea for a mother, for Mother's Day or as a lasting memory of family bonds and childhood. It can be placed alone on a shelf, on a chest of drawers or in a display cabinet, where it adds warmth, history and personality to the home.

Older porcelain figurines like this hold a special charm because they are created to be preserved and appreciated through generations. Choosing vintage porcelain is at the same time a beautiful way to bring quality and storytelling onward into a modern home. Here you get not merely a Bing & Grøndahl figurine, but a motif with soul, which still speaks directly to us today.
