Bing & Grøndahl Gentleman child figurine no. 2312

Bing & Grøndahl child figurine no. 2312 with the title Gentleman depicts a charming moment between two children. The figurine shows a boy in blue attire standing close to a girl in a light dress, while he holds her outerwear. The motif exudes politeness, everyday life, and the quiet storytelling for which classic porcelain figurines are so beloved. It is precisely this kind of motif that makes a B&G figurine both decorative and collectible.

Svend Jespersen has, with assured lines, created a child figurine with fine balance and natural movement. The soft forms, the muted colors, and the calm underglaze give the figurine a classic expression that fits beautifully into both modern and more traditional interiors. The small scene between girl and boy makes the figurine lively and present, and it works well as an eye-catcher in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or together with other porcelain figurines from Bing & Grøndahl.

Porcelain figurines like this appeal both to collectors and to those who appreciate Danish design with storytelling and personality. Gentleman is a child figurine that contains both nostalgia and fine craftsmanship, and it is ideal as a gift for a collector or as an atmospheric addition to the home. The motif with children also makes it suitable for combining with other figurine groups, where play, relationships, and small everyday scenes are at the center.

At DPH - Danish Porcelain House, we value figurines that can bring history, warmth, and character into the interior. This Bing & Grøndahl figurine is a good example of porcelain art, where motif and craftsmanship come together as a whole.
