Bing & Grøndahl Jacob figurine no. 2393 - boy figurine by Claire Weiss

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2393 "Jacob" is a charming porcelain figurine that captures a quiet and recognizable moment from childhood. The young boy is sitting on his knees with his gaze directed down toward an open book in his hands, completely absorbed in what he is reading or looking at. The motif has a calmness and intimacy that makes the figurine both decorative and easy to cherish.

Claire Weiss has created a child figurine with a natural and down-to-earth expression. The kneeling posture, the blue trousers with suspenders, and the simple white top give the figurine a classic, timeless character that fits beautifully into a collection of Bing & Grøndahl figurines. The soft shapes and the calm color palette emphasize the fine craftsmanship and the narrative quality that many collectors seek in Danish porcelain.

As a porcelain figurine and boy figurine, "Jacob" is an obvious choice for those who are fond of figurines with everyday motifs, child figurines from Bing & Grøndahl, or designs by Claire Weiss. The motif of the child and the book adds warmth to the interior and works well both on its own and together with other porcelain figurines featuring children, family, or everyday scenes. It looks great in the display cabinet, on a shelf, or as a personal gift for a collector, teacher, book lover, or a family with a love of classic Danish design.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to add history and personality to the home. When you choose a figurine with soul and fine craftsmanship, you are at the same time choosing a more sustainable path, where beautiful quality objects are allowed to live on and create joy in new surroundings.
