Royal Copenhagen bear figurine 1233-729 Knud Kyhn brown bear

Royal Copenhagen bear figurine no. 1233-729 is a characterful porcelain figurine with a lively and playful expression. The figurine shows a brown bear lying on its back while playing with its foot, and it is precisely this relaxed position that gives the motif both humor, warmth and personality. The soft lines and the calm movement in the body make the figurine interesting to ???? from several angles.

Knud Kyhn is known for his animal figurines, where form and character merge into a higher unity, and this is clearly seen here. The bear's compact body, small paws and slightly turned head are modeled with great understanding of the animal's weight and natural movement. The glaze appears in shades of brown and gray-brown, which emphasize the figurine's calm, organic expression and give the porcelain extra depth. The technique is underglaze, which helps give the surface the smooth, durable and harmonious finish that many collectors associate with classic figurines from Royal Copenhagen.

This bear figurine fits beautifully into an interior with Danish design, porcelain and decorative art with history. It works both as a decorative eye-catcher on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a desk and as a gift idea for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and animal figurines by Knud Kyhn. Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they bring storytelling, craftsmanship and lasting quality into the home. It is precisely the type of object that still feels relevant today and adds soul to the room.
