Hackefors Christmas Plate / Christmas Dinner Plate "Christmas" with birdhouse, 1985

Hackefors Christmas plate from 1985 is an atmospheric Swedish Christmas plate with the Danish text "Christmas" on the front. The cobalt blue motif shows a peaceful winter landscape with a snow-covered house, winding road, fence and several small birds gathered around a birdhouse in the foreground. The scene conveys the calm side of Christmastime, where nature, snow and light from the home create a warm story in the midst of the winter cold.

It is precisely this simple and recognizable Christmas scene that makes the 1985 edition particularly charming. The birds by the feeder bring the motif to life, while the house in the background and the dark trees against the sky create depth and classic Nordic winter atmosphere. On the plate stands the Danish word "Christmas", and the year 1985 is clearly marked at the bottom.

The motif is designed by Ragnar Carlsson, who is behind Hackefors Christmas plates from the period 1977-1999. Like the other plates from this period, the decoration is executed in genuine cobalt, which emphasizes the special blue-and-white character that many collectors and porcelain enthusiasts are fond of. The edition was also released in a limited number, which makes it interesting both as a collector's plate and as part of a larger series of Hackefors Christmas plates.

As this Hackefors Christmas plate is kept in blue and white without gold decoration, it may be used for food. With a diameter of 20 cm, it works well as a Christmas plate for lunch, cake or small servings, and it is also dishwasher safe.
