The Hackefors Christmas plate from 1976 is a classic blue-and-white Christmas dinner plate with the original text "CHRISTMAS" on the front. In the middle of the motif, a quiet winter landscape opens up with snow-covered fields, a fence, small houses in the distance, and a prominent star shining over the scene. It is a Hackefors Christmas plate that conveys the calm, Nordic Christmas atmosphere with a few confident lines and a motif that immediately brings to mind winter, silence, and anticipation.

The 1976 edition was designed by Y. Norberg, Yngve Norberg, who is behind Hackefors' early Christmas plates. The blue motif is executed in genuine cobalt, as known from Hackefors Christmas plates from the period, and this edition was released in limited numbers. This gives the plate a natural place both among collectors of Swedish porcelain and among those who appreciate older utility items with history and character.

The plate is kept in blue and white without gold decoration. Therefore, it is not only decorative as a Christmas plate, but also practical as a Christmas dinner plate. With a diameter of 20 cm, it works well as a lunch plate or cake plate in December, and since it may be used for food and is dishwasher safe, it is easy to put into use year after year. This makes it ideal for a personal Christmas table setting, where different editions of Hackefors Christmas plates can be combined.

Our example comes from a purchased remainder stock and is therefore unused, even though it is an original edition from 1976.
