Hackefors Christmas plate / Christmas dinner plate "JULEN" with children, 1996

Hackefors Christmas plate from 1996 is an atmospheric Swedish Christmas dinner plate in blue and white porcelain decoration, where the calm of winter and the children's Christmas joy meet in a fine narrative motif. At the top of the plate is the Danish text "JULEN", and at the bottom the year 1996 can be seen, clearly marking this vintage in the series of Hackefors Christmas plates.

The motif shows three children in the snow in front of a house on a clear winter evening. Two of the children are crouching by a structure of snowballs, while the third child stands behind them. In the background, a lit Christmas tree, a snow-covered house, and the moon in the dark winter sky can be seen. This gives the plate a warm and homely Christmas atmosphere, where play, anticipation, and winter landscape all have room in the same motif.

This Hackefors Christmas plate is designed by Ragnar Carlsson, who is behind the vintages from 1977 to 1999. Like the other plates from the period, the decoration is made in genuine cobalt, and the vintage was issued in a limited quantity.
