Hackefors Christmas plate from 1970 is an atmospheric Swedish Christmas dinner plate in blue and white porcelain decoration, where the classic Christmas greeting "GOD JUL" appears at the top on the banner and the year 1970 at the bottom. The motif shows a small church in a snow-covered winter landscape, surrounded by soft hills, stone wall and a dark blue sky space, where a clear light shines down over the scene. It is a Hackefors Christmas plate with calm, winter silence and Nordic Christmas tradition gathered in one motif.

This vintage is designed by Y. Norberg, Yngve Norberg, who is behind Hackefors' early Christmas plates. The composition is simple and strong: the white church stands out clearly against the deep cobalt blue background, and the contrast between snow, night and light gives the plate an almost fairy-tale expression. On the plate appears the Swedish Christmas greeting "GOD JUL", and precisely the original text is an important part of its identity and charm.

Like Hackefors Christmas plates from the period 1969-1999, this one is made in genuine cobalt, which gives it the characteristic deep blue colour. It was also issued in a limited number, which makes it interesting for collectors of Swedish porcelain and vintage Christmas plates.
