Hackefors Christmas plate de luxe from 1974 is an atmospheric Swedish Christmas plate, where the blue-white motif and the fine gold details come together around the very special peace of Christmas. At the top of the plate stands the Danish text "Christmas", and at the bottom the year 1974 is seen, which clearly places this edition in Hackefors' classic series of Christmas plates.

The motif shows a quiet moment in a dark room, where a lit candle stands on the table and spreads its glow in strong rays out into the picture. In front of the candle, a kneeling figure is seen by an open book spread, and in the background both curtains, a window and small interior details can be discerned, which give the scene a thoughtful and almost devotional Christmas atmosphere. The golden decoration around the candle emphasizes precisely the warmth of the flame and makes this Hackefors Christmas plate de luxe different from the purely blue-white editions.

The 1974 vintage is designed by Y. Norberg, Yngve Norberg, who is behind the Hackefors Christmas plates from this period. Like the other plates from 1969-1999, the decoration is executed in genuine cobalt, and on the back it also appears that the edition was produced in a limited number.
