Arabia Christmas plate 1989 with the motif Winter town with sleigh ride depicts a lively Nordic winter scene, where the town is covered in snow, and everyday life continues at a ????? christmas pace. In the foreground, people on foot and horses pulling sleighs through the streets can be seen, while the closely packed houses, the church building and the bare winter trees create an atmosphere of both town life and winter stillness.

The motif is finely composed with many small details, which make this Arabia Christmas plate particularly interesting to explore. For that very reason, 1989 also marks the end of her part of the series, which began in 1978. Arabia Finland is known as Finland's most renowned porcelain factory, and the Christmas plates have been appreciated for their special combination of Finnish storytelling, decorative art and tradition-bearing winter atmosphere.

The plate is made of stoneware (stoneware), which gives a solid and robust body. With a diameter of 23 cm, it is suitable not only as wall decoration, but also as a plate, for example for a lunch serving at Christmastime, where the motif can help create a special atmosphere around the table.

Our example comes from an old residual stock of older Arabia Christmas plates and is unused. This makes it extra interesting for those of you who are fond of older design with history, but who would also like to use it in the home today. Many of the plates from this residual stock are still in their original Arabia boxes.
