Royal Tettau Christmas plate 1989, winter motif with castle, 20 cm

Royal Tettau Christmas plate 1989 captures the calm, fairy-tale atmosphere that many associate with Christmas and winter. The motif shows a snow-covered landscape with a prominent building that resembles a castle or a manor house, with a tower, gables and a small bridge in the background. In front of the building, a family can be seen on a winter outing, a child with a sled and a dog team in the snow, while the stars shine in the dark blue evening sky. The many white trees and the deep blue color scale give the plate a classic Christmas expression with both calm, life and narrative.

On the front appears the text "Julen 1989", which is a visible part of the decoration and emphasizes the plate's character as a Christmas plate and collector's item. This Christmas plate is manufactured by Royal Tettau, Germany, and the series was made for the Scandinavian market. On the back it is stated that the plate is produced in a limited number, which makes it extra interesting for collectors of older Christmas plates and porcelain with history.

The plate measures approx. 20 cm in diameter and has a hanger glued to the back, so it is ready to be put up on the wall as part of a Christmas collection or as atmospheric winter decoration in the home. At the same time, it can also be used as a plate on the table during the Christmas season. That very combination makes Royal Tettau Christmas plates attractive to both collectors and those who would like to bring older porcelain into use again.

A vintage Christmas plate like this adds personality to the home and is reminiscent of a time when decorative art was created to last and be brought out year after year. It can hang alone as a decorative feature or be combined with other Christmas plates from different years to create a warm and personal wall with Christmas atmosphere.
