1983 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate, designed by Edvard Jensen, is titled Christmas in the old town. This plate depicts a snow covered village, with a single street lamp of the well known old type, which were very common in the old days in many Danish villages, and which can still be seen in towns like Ebeltoft in Jutland, Bogense in Funen, and the Old Town in Aarhus. Near the lamp are two small bids, freezing in the long dark winter.
