1934 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate, designed by Immanuel Tjerne, bears the title Church Bell in Tower. Bing & Grondahl's Christmas plate from 1934 depicts a bellringer ringing the bell of the church tower on Christmas Eve. The church bells have four functions: communication, warning, encouraging prayer, and the marking of feasts and festive days, as here Christmas Evening.
