Royal Copenhagen Annual Santa 2023 figurine

Royal Copenhagen Annual Santa 2023 is a charming Christmas figurine in porcelain that gathers classic Christmas motifs in one fine little scene. Santa stands in his red suit with a white beard, a green Christmas tree over his shoulder, and a small bird sitting on the tree. Beside him, a small dog peeks out from the sack, while in the other hand he holds a grey fish. The figurine therefore contains both nature, Christmas spirit and a touch of storytelling, which makes it lively to look at from several angles.

The design is created by Sven Vestergaard, and the figurine is part of the popular Annual Santa series from Royal Copenhagen. The series began in 2001, and since then a new Santa has been released every year. From 2021 onwards, a Mrs. Santa has also been added to the collection. This has made the series extra attractive to collectors, and there is great demand for these Royal Copenhagen Christmas figurines, both among those who already follow the series, and those who wish to begin a personal Christmas tradition.

Annual Santa 2023 works beautifully as a standalone Christmas decoration on a shelf, in the window sill, or as part of a larger display with Christmas porcelain and other figurines. At the same time, it is an obvious collector's figurine, because it clearly belongs in the named series and can complement an existing collection or be a good place to start. The figurine also matches well with this year's other Christmas releases and adds to the home the special warmth that characterises Royal Copenhagen's Christmas universe.

It is precisely the combination of recognisable Santa, small storytelling details and the connection to the sought-after series that makes this porcelain figurine so interesting. For many, Annual Santa becomes not just a decoration, but a recurring part of December and a figurine that one looks forward to bringing out year after year.
