Royal Tettau Christmas plate 1997, German edition "Weihnachten 1997", 20 cm

This Royal Tettau Christmas plate from 1997 shows an atmospheric winter motif with a large castle or stately building complex in the background, covered in snow under a dark blue evening sky with stars and clouds. In front of the building, a lively winter scene unfolds on the ice, where several figures are gathered, including children and adults, a sled, and a small dog. The snow-covered trees along the edge of the motif provide depth and calm, while the golden windows and the warm activity in the foreground create a classic Christmas atmosphere with plenty of nostalgia.

It is the German edition of the Christmas plate, as seen on the original inscription on the front: "Weihnachten 1997". The plate is made by Royal Tettau, Germany, in a series made for the Scandinavian market. On the back it is stated that it is produced in a limited quantity, which makes it extra interesting for collectors of Christmas plates and older porcelain with history. The deep cobalt blue color and the detailed decoration give the plate a classic look, which fits beautifully into a Christmas collection or as a single decorative wall plate in the home.

With a diameter of approx. 20 cm, this vintage Christmas plate has a size that makes it usable in several ways. All plates in the series have a hanger glued to the back, so it is ready to hang on the wall right away. At the same time, it can also be used as a plate on the Christmas table, where it adds a personal and tradition-rich touch to the table setting. Older Christmas plates like this are also a sustainable choice, because they combine good craftsmanship, collecting joy, and reuse in one and the same object.
