Pia Langelund (1960-), Ceramist
In 1990 completed Pia Langelund her education at Kolding School of Design.
She has been employed by Royal Copenhagen since 1991 where she, in a number of years, designed characters in various materials. One of her most famous series is the major figures of gorillas, monkeys and lions in black and white biscuit. She is deeply fascinated by the motor skills, strength and movement apparatus in both humans and animals. Therefore there is also pay the closest attention on these details in every one of her works.
Pia Langelund has also designed some of the mother's day figures for Bing & Grondahl.
Today, Pia Langelund is working for Royal Copenhagen on a freelance basis.
